DOES MICROSOFT OFFICE 365 / MICROSOFT 365 BACKUP MY DATA?

No, Microsoft 365 does not backup customer data. It offers geo-redundancy protection, which can often be mistaken for backup, but this only ensures that the service is operational again and running in a different location should a service outage occur.

To truly protect Microsoft 365 data from data loss, organisations need to have an independent backup in place. You can read more about this on our
